We’re asking for your help in showing the world our strength as we fight for our union contracts. Right now, baristas at nearly 500 unionized Starbucks stores are making progress at the bargaining table. But before we head back at the end of the month, we’re asking for solidarity from all of our allies!
With this week’s news that Starbucks is replacing their CEO, effective immediately, it’s even more important to demonstrate the broad public support for our union! From Friday, August 23 to Monday, August 26 we’re asking allies like you to host flyering events outside union Starbucks across the country to educate customers that their baristas are bargaining for their first union contract.
If you’d like to organize an event:
- Use the map on our homepage to find your nearest union store. Copy the address of that store (not your address) and;
- Enter it in the search bar here to host an action at a union store for Red for Bread weekend.
- Then just follow the prompts to register your event, and we’ll send you resources, info, and an invite to a training call!
If you can’t host an event, you can still visit your local union store wearing red, place an order under the name “UNION STRONG,” and share some words of support (and a tip if you can!).
