Updates From Bargaining! (April 2024)

Last week, hundreds of partners representing the 425+ certified union stores participated in bargaining sessions aimed at achieving a foundational framework that is intended to be the foundation of each single-store contract.

A total of 150 bargaining delegates attended in person in Atlanta, while another 250 participated via virtual caucuses during breaks and after the in-person meetings. (An impressive 7,000 Starbucks Workers United partners participated in the process to nominate and democratically select these delegates!)

How did we get here? Through courage and persistence: over more than two years of fearless organizing, we brought Starbucks to the table. These talks are a major step forward toward establishing strong contracts for the more than 10,000 and growing Starbucks Workers United partners who have won our union, and with it, a seat at the table to build a stronger Starbucks.

While we made a lot of significant progress, there’s still more work to do. We’ll be meeting with Starbucks again in May to continue bargaining. So far we’re feeling really good about what’s to come and we can’t wait to share more updates soon!

If you haven’t already, sign our No Contract No Coffee pledge for national and regional updates sent your way every week! And if you’re a Starbucks partner who wants to know how a union can help you and your coworkers, don’t be afraid to reach out! With the progress we’ve made, there’s never been a better time to organize.
